Meet Mary Landry, Director of Lifecycle Marketing at Tala! Mary leads a global team responsible for bringing marketing strategies and operational messaging to life for our customers through every stage of their financial journey with Tala. She’s focused on delivering meaningful improvements to core KPIs at a macro level, centering the team around the initiatives that drive the most impact, and designing solutions to overcome emerging challenges through a strategic, big-picture, and forward-thinking approach.

What’s your favorite part about your job?

I get to work closely with incredibly talented people who inspire me to continue to grow. Plus, I am invigorated by the unique challenges and growth paths we are pursuing in our mission to provide a digital financial ecosystem to traditionally underserved customers across the globe. 

What are you and your team currently focused on?

Our team is focused on finding new ways to generate impressions with our customers through message channel mix and content testing to drive conversion, boost retention, and influence behaviors.

How would you describe the culture at Tala?

We are a culturally diverse group of trailblazers who are solution-oriented and passionate about the impact we are making and our vision of a financial system that works for everyone.

What unique skills and specialties do you need to succeed on your team?

This is a specialty where you need a unique combination of skills to really be successful. You need to deeply understand the business, how the products work, your customers, and underlying data to create impactful content and message journeys. Then, you need the technical ability to build in the CRM platform with impeccable attention to detail. You must use your critical thinking skills to account for both happy and exception paths. And, you need to showcase the right aptitude, attitude, and grit to operate with focus and a sense of urgency every single day.
